Job description & activities

Valerius Boutique Hotel is a small-scale luxury hotel where the guest is central.

In addition to the hotel, we also have a unique lounge in a former church and a large terrace where we also provide breakfast, lunch, drinks, high tea, dinners and events for (hotel) guests. We also rent out a motorboat, sup boards, e-bikes and bicycles.

We are a young company, opened 1 year ago, and still in full development with a lot of growth potential. Do you want to grow, develop yourself and are you looking for a new challenge? Then apply now!

 

We are looking for all-rounders who are flexible and above all enthusiastic and hospitable.

Work experience is an advantage but not a requirement, eager to learn is.

 

We are looking for new employees who want to play a role in several and hopefully eventually in all parts of the hotel (and who knows more).

 

Breakfast

  • Prepare breakfast

  • Receiving guests

  • Serving coffee/tea

  • Replenish breakfast buffet

  • Clean up, clean up, vacuum

  • Handling dishes

Housekeeping

  • Make hotel rooms clean/beautiful for new guests

  • daily makeup; freshen up hotel rooms for guests staying several days

  • Replenishing of minibar/coffee/tea/toiletries/amenities etc. of the hotel rooms

  • Inventory management of linen and hotel room items

 

Service (lunch, drinks, dinner, events)

  • Taking orders

  • Setting/clearing tables

  • Making drinks

  • Cutting cakes / making sandwiches

  • Serving dishes/drinks

  • Providing service in the broadest sense of the word (hospitable!)

  • Handling dishes

 

Dinner

You make sure everything is ready on time. This means washing, cutting and other preparatory work and preparing the plates, the so-called “cold side”.

 

Chef

We buy some of our dishes locally, but we also make a number of dishes ourselves, such as soups, lasagnes, pies, etc.

Employee profile

  • Some experience in the hospitality industry is a plus, but not necessary

  • You are flexible

  • You can work independently

  • packer

  • You live in Wormer or surroundings

  • You are available between 2 and 4 days a week, sometimes evenings and weekends
